Start with the machine's actual operating weight
Do not rely only on a general description such as “small excavator” or “forklift”. Different models that look similar can have very different transport weights. Send the make/model, data plate or manufacturer weight where possible. Attachments, fuel, batteries and fitted equipment can also affect the real transported weight.
Measure the dimensions that affect loading
Width, overall length and transport height matter as much as weight. A machine can be within a weight limit but still be unsuitable because it is too wide, too tall, has a long wheelbase or track footprint, or cannot achieve a safe loading position on the assigned tray.
Tell us whether it runs, rolls, steers and brakes
A running machine is usually easier to position than one with steering, brake, tyre, track or transmission faults. If it is non-running, explain exactly what still moves. Clear photos of the machine and pickup position can prevent the wrong truck or loading plan being sent.
Site access is part of the transport job
Warehouses, workshops and industrial yards can have gates, parked vehicles, loading docks, slopes, soft ground or tight turning space. The truck needs enough room to line up and load safely. Tell us about access restrictions before booking rather than after arrival.

The machine type, make/model, actual operating weight, dimensions, whether it runs or rolls, pickup and delivery access, photos and preferred timing are the most useful details.
Is the machine lifting capacity the same as its transport weight?
No. For forklifts and similar equipment, lifting capacity is not the same as the machine's own operating weight. The actual machine weight is what matters for transport assessment.
Can TowFast move machinery that does not run?
Possibly. Non-running machinery must still be suitable for safe loading and securing. Tell us about steering, brakes, tyres or tracks, attachments and access before dispatch.
