Towing requirements in Queensland can vary depending on the type of tow. General breakdown towing and vehicle transport are different from regulated towing situations such as crash towing, private property towing in regulated areas, police seizure towing and other authority-controlled towing work.
Where a job requires a specific licence, accreditation, towing authority, consent, access approval, police direction, road authority direction or third-party approval, TowFast Brisbane will only proceed where the required authority and safe access have been confirmed.
Crash and accident situations
TowFast Brisbane does not advertise as an accident-scene or crash towing provider. If a vehicle is involved in a crash, customers should follow police, emergency services, insurer and road authority instructions first.
If a vehicle has already been cleared for safe transport and the customer needs non-urgent vehicle movement, TowFast Brisbane may assess whether the vehicle can be safely transported as a general vehicle transport job.
Private property towing
TowFast Brisbane does not remove vehicles from private property unless the required owner authority, access permission and towing consent requirements are satisfied.
Private property towing can be regulated in Queensland. Customers, property managers and body corporate representatives should confirm the required authority before requesting vehicle removal.
Safety-first towing
TowFast Brisbane may refuse, delay or reschedule a tow where the location, vehicle condition, traffic, access, weather, parking, clearance, weight, height, underground access or loading conditions make the job unsafe.
This may include vehicles stopped in live traffic, tunnels, motorway lanes, unsafe road positions, underground car parks, steep driveways, locked vehicles with no access, vehicles stuck in park, unsafe loading areas or unclear authority to move the vehicle.
Vehicle loading and restraint
TowFast Brisbane takes vehicle loading and restraint seriously. Before a vehicle is transported, the driver assesses the vehicle type, condition, access, tow truck setup, loading angle and safe securing method.
Vehicle restraint may vary depending on the vehicle, tow truck, tray setup, wheel condition, steering, brakes, keys, whether the vehicle rolls, whether it is stuck in park, and whether it has been loaded from a normal road, driveway, car park, basement, workshop or storage yard.
TowFast Brisbane aims to use suitable restraint methods for the vehicle being transported, including rated tie-down equipment, approved anchor points, wheel restraint methods and safe loading practices where required.
Load restraint principles
Australian load restraint guidance requires a load to be restrained against movement forwards, backwards, sideways and upwards. A vehicle being transported must not be allowed to move, roll, shift or come loose during normal driving, braking, cornering or road movement.
TowFast Brisbane does not rely on vehicle weight alone to keep a vehicle in place. The winch may be used for loading where required, but it should not be treated as the only method of restraining a vehicle during transport.
Restraint equipment checks
Restraint equipment should be suitable for the towing task and should not be used if it is damaged, badly worn, cut, frayed, stretched, contaminated, incorrectly rated or unsafe.
Before transport, the driver may check the vehicle position on the tray, wheel security, whether the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes, whether rated restraint equipment is suitable, whether straps, chains, hooks and anchor points appear safe, and whether underground, steep driveway or tight access affects safe loading.
Special vehicle situations
Some vehicles may need extra care before loading or securing. This can include cars with no keys, vehicles stuck in park, locked steering, lowered cars, electric vehicles, prestige vehicles, vehicles in underground car parks, vehicles on steep driveways, vehicles with flat tyres or missing wheels, and vehicles with limited access to safe tie-down points.
TowFast Brisbane may refuse, delay or reschedule a job if the vehicle cannot be loaded, accessed or secured safely.
Customer responsibilities
Customers should provide accurate vehicle and location details before booking. This includes the vehicle make and model, whether keys are available, whether the vehicle starts, rolls, steers and brakes, whether it is stuck in park, pickup and drop-off addresses, access restrictions, height limits, underground parking, body corporate requirements and any safety concerns.
Customers should remove valuables, personal items, loose items and fragile belongings before transport where possible.
Pricing and quote accuracy
Towing prices can vary depending on pickup location, drop-off location, distance, vehicle condition, access, time, loading difficulty and whether special handling is required.
TowFast Brisbane aims to confirm pricing before dispatch wherever possible. If the job details change after arrival, the quote may need to be reviewed before the tow proceeds.
Advertising and service wording
TowFast Brisbane aims to keep its business name, phone number, website, service areas, trading hours and services accurate across Google Business Profile, directories and advertising platforms.
We avoid misleading claims, fake urgency, fake discounts, unsupported guarantees and service wording that does not match our actual towing services.
